The park is a stone’s throw from some of the world’s largest and most majestic redwood groves in Jedediah Smith State Park, down the road from the wild and scenic Smith (Nii~-li~) River and a short drive to the stunning Northern California and Southern Oregon coastlines.

Brookings, Oregon
Brookings is about 30 minutes from Hiouchi. There you’ll find a Fred Meyer, Bi-Mart, McKay’s Market, Goodwill, the Curry Medical Center, Harbor Drug, Chetco Community Pool, The Black Truffle and other restaurants, a local bakery, farmers market, and more!
Things To Do Nearby
The beaches near Crescent City, CA and Brookings, OR (just 15 & 30 minutes from Tiny Tranquility Redwoods, respectively) are beautiful, uncrowded, and great for water sports. There are also stunning hikes of varying difficulty near several local beaches.
Jedediah Smith State Park has some of the tallest Redwoods in the world, and is less than a mile from Tiny Tranquility Redwoods. Within 5-15 minutes of the park are several walks and hikes through the forest, some of which are suitable for any fitness level.
The Smith (Nii~-li~) River offers a variety of recreational activities such as kayaking, white water rafting, fishing, swimming, SUP’s and more! Tiny Tranquility – Redwoods is located a scant 1/2 mile from the river, which is one of the purest in North America.
